Cody Rohrbach

Fire Chief

Chief Rohrbach was hired by Fire District 3 in August of 2016.  Prior to that, he served 16 years with the WA State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) working up to Fire Unit Manager for DNR’s Arcadia District.  He began his career in 1996, working seasonally for the USDA Forest Service as a wildland firefighter, timber cruiser, and forest technician while he went to college.  Chief Rohrbach has a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resource Management from Washington State University.

Chief Rohrbach serves on numerous Boards and Committees; to include the Spokane Regional Emergency Communications Board (SREC), the Ambulance Service Board, and the Spokane County EMS & Trauma Care Council.  He also serves as a technical expert and is involved with fire fighter credentialing and certification with a focus on wildland firefighting.

Chief Rohrbach serves as an Operations Sections Chief on a National Incident Management Team (IMT).  This role has taken him around the nation while working on incidents of national significance.

When off-duty, Chief Rohrbach dedicates time to family, church, and the outdoors.  He is happily married with two daughters.

Debbie Arnold began working at SCFD3 in October 1982. Debbie received her BA degree from WSU before moving to Cheney where she lives with her husband of 45 years.  Before coming to work with Fire District 3, Debbie worked in banking and law.

Outside of work, Debbie enjoys quilting, reading, being outside and most of all spending time with her two grandchildren.

Taryn Bare

Administrative Assistant

Taryn Bare is a graduate of Western Washington University with a degree in Business Administration.  She came to Spokane as a Regional Manager with Pier 1 Imports in 2005.  Taryn and her husband started a business of their own in 2007, during that time Taryn stayed home to raise their 3 children.  She enjoys being in this part of Washington state where she can get out often to run, hike and explore with friends and family.  Taryn is excited to be a part of District 3 and to have the opportunity to serve a community that she loves.

Bill Dennstaedt

Deputy Chief

Bill Dennstaedt started in the fire service as a volunteer firefighter with Fire District 3 in 1999 and served as an active volunteer at station 31 until he was hired full time as Division Chief of Training in 2017. During this time Bill worked through the ranks at Cheney Fire Department to a Battalion Chief. Currently, Bill is Deputy Chief of Operation and serves as an Type 3 Incident Commander for Northeast Washington Interagency Incident Management Team.  Bill has been a resident of the Cheney area for 35 years and he and his wife Heidi are raising their three daughters in the area.

Bob is a 4th generation rancher/farmer and a life long member of the Amber community. Bob and his wife Sandy still live and ranch on the original homestead near Williams Lake.

As a 30 year member of Fire District #3 Bob has been a volunteer/first responder, station Lieutenant, & Station Captain at station 310.

Bob has been proud to serve his community throughout the years.
